We welcomed the Racing TV cameras to Holworthy Farm on a cold morning to discuss the yard, Golden Ace and the future!

This Racing Life

We have had a slow start to the season, very frustrating from our end, however we have a lot of nice young horses who have the potential to make chases having to learn their trade in novice hurdles and bumpers. We are always looking to the future and with patience, these youngsters will hopefully reward their owners in the forthcoming years. Phoenix Risen returned to the winners enclosure after fracturing his neck at Newton Abbot in July 2023. He tried chasing but found hurdling more to his liking and has enjoyed returning to the smaller obstacles and forming a new partnership with Gearoid Harney this season.

Captain Boudet had been placed in both his novice hurdles and always looked a chaser in the making and proved correct when winning well at Hereford on his chasing debut. Dave Noonan got a great tune out of him and jumped well throughout his race. Hopefully more to come now he has finally got his head in front!
