5.2.18 - Our last three runners have been winners and its great that the yard is enjoying a good vein of form.
Dashel Drasher, bred by Camilla, started the hat-trick on Thursday at Wincanton where he made a winning debut in the bumper under Matt Griffiths. It was a good performance and we hope he can build on that.
Miss Minuty scored her third win for the yard since she joined us in July, just getting up to win the fillies handicap at Lingfield. She’s a game mare and seems to love her racing.
At Taunton yesterday we dropped Unison in class and he readily won the Bathwick Tyres Handicap Hurdle in the hands of Matt Griffiths. What a super horse he’s been since he joined us two years ago, winning nine times and under both codes.
We have a relatively quiet week this week, and then have made several entries for Friday.
22.1.18 - Native Robin landed yesterday's starsportsbet.co.uk Handicap Chase having made all the running under a positive ride from Nick Scholfield to win by six lengths and give us our fourth win from our last 11 runners. He was four pounds higher than his previous win at Warwick and hopefully there's a bit more to come. He's entered in Saturday's Marston's Pedigree Handicap Chase at Uttoxeter.
We were also really pleased with Bang On who was second on his bumper debut. He coped admirably in the ground and it was a good performance.
20.1.2018 - Sue Lanz' Speedalong toughed it out through the mud at Wincanton on Thursday to win the Higos For Your Commercial Insurance Chase nicely in the hands of Nick Scholfield. He stayed over the 2m4f trip having jumped particulary well to give us our 15th winner of the season.
Today we run Unison in the four-runner Unibet Champion Hurdle Trial Hurdle where there's decent place money.
Tomorrow we have three at Fontwell with Native Robin in the starsportsbet.co.uk Handicap Chase, Colmers Hill in the Happy Birthday Mike / Moira Darvill Remmbrance Handicap Chase and Bang On in the Spode, Mole, Twiglet & Dibbler Bumper.
Native Robin won well at Warwick on New Year's Eve and he's gone up 6lbs. Colmers Hill was running a fine race at Boxing Day in the 3m2f chase until a mistake at the last possibly cost his chance and he finished second.
It's a first racecourse appearance for Bang On in the bumper who runs in the Cash For Honours colours.
9.1.17 - We were so pleased that Blue April won the 2m1f handicap hurdle at Fontwell yesterday. Laura has been riding him out everyday, following her spinal injury in March and it’s a real tonic for her too.
It was his 15th attempt and he survived a stewards’ enquiry to win by a neck.
It was a good day for his jockey Nick Scholfield too who rode a double.
