"For a horse to thrive it must be happy in its environment, from being in the right stable to having plenty of variety in its work.” - Jeremy Scott
"We have a very happy team, which means the horses are happy too, which is the key to our success.” - Camilla Scott
Jeremy and Camilla maintain a strong philosophy behind the training of their horses that has resulted in consistently good results.
Horse are treated as individuals, taking time to understand their needs. Their health and happiness and health is paramount.
Horses are never taken to a racecourse unless they are ready both physically and mentally, and they are always quietly nurtured so that they can reach their potential.
The 2009-2010 season saw Jeremy saddle 11 winners. This increased to 14 winners the following season. During the 2011-2012 season Jeremy saddled 24 winners; 2013-2014 30 winners and last season 21 winners were sent out from Higher Holworthy Farm. The 2015 - 2016 27 winners headed back to Holworthy Farm, with 24 during the following two seasons. As the jump racing season gets going for 2018-2019, about a third of the horses are youngsters, and its exciting times ahead.
